The fresh batch of kids is moving in this weekend. I don't think any of us on staff are fully prepared. We joke about it but, it's not going to hit us until this weekend. And at that point it's going to hit us REAL hard.
I've always felt like move in impacts the whole city. All of a sudden, just like that the population explodes in Richmond. There is nowhere to park, people are crossing the street stopping traffic, a ton of lost looking faces come out of nowhere. Robberies always go up too because I mean come on, these kids are super naive and they don't know where they should and shouldn't be at night. They learn quickly.
I'm not even working move in until the second day. I'm still dreading it.
Oh, and I got a new job. A whole new batch of stories to come! Although probably not because there are a lot of things I really can't talk about from my other job. One thing does suck about the other job....slacks. I have to wear slacks and close toed shoes that are not sneakers. Word.
Summer is officially over this weekend. The river is going to be overpopulated and I never even got to visit it when it was locals only. Damn.
I should probably start building my own shelter from them. They descend upon the city like vultures destroying every fun spot in their path like some cantankerous monster.
